Buying Glow Stones: Here’s What You Should Bear Know
We shared a few tips to have in mind when shopping for glow stones for your property and we hope you do find them helpful. The first factor we’ll consider is the size.
Size and Purpose

The size of the glow stones you want to buy is very important for three reasons: decorative, practical, and safety.
Why is this so? This is because the size is correlated to your purpose for buying the stones.
Let’s take a look at the aforementioned reasons below.
Practically, glow stones give off more glows when they’re in groups and so, if you want more glow from your stones, then you’d have to group them especially if you’re using the small stones. On the other hand, if you are using the larger stones, there’d be little or no need to group them together except you choose to do so.
With respect to decorative purposes, smaller stones come in handy for doing extra creative things like spelling names, drawing images and so on. You can’t use the larger sized glow stones to do this – would look quite awkward and probably unromantic if you do.
Safety-wise, if you have small children in your home, then it’d be best to use the larger stones or smaller stones with diameters of 3cm. Even at this diameter, there is a risk of choking when the children swallow these stones.
Color

There are tons of colors to choose from. You can buy the full-color packs or buy mixed packs as you wish. To get a brighter glow of the same color, you’ll need to stack up more stones of the same color. If you want diverse colors, stack up stones of diverse colors together.
Our take – buy full packs of different colors and make the combinations yourself. If you must buy combined colors, buy only a few packs.
Material Used For the Stones

If you’re not careful, some of the materials used on some glow stones can be toxic to humans and pets too. Glow stones are made from materials that are phosphorescent, chemiluminescent or radioluminescent – pretty tough words to pronounce – but these materials are what gives the glow.
To be on the safe side, opt for glow stones made from materials that are phosphorescent since they have little to no toxicity when compared to the other two.
Materials used can also determine how long the stone will glow in the dark. Remember to light up your outdoor space with outdoor motion lights or just outdoor solar lights.
The Area You Need To Cover
Lastly, you should take into consideration the area you want to cover with the glow stones. The larger the outdoor space, the larger the number of glow stones you need to get the glow in the area and vice versa.
We recommend having a combination of both the small and the larger glow stones.
